Fourteen years ago, Starbucks unveiled the infamous Pumpkin Spice Latte, well known today by its shorthand PSL. Unbeknownst to coffee giant, it had also created a global phenomenon.

Pumpkin spice latte marks the beginning of Fall and usually kicks into gear before the Autumnal Equinox on September 23rd. Each year, for well over a decade, we’ve seen new food and even non-food product jump on board the PSL marketing train, and this year is no different.
OK, so five years ago, I was annoyed with all the PSL products. I felt my pawn-like position as a consumer who at one point, enjoyed the overly sweet flavors of Fall. Today, while I still feel slightly jaded by the over marketing of PSL, I reflect on how the combined scents and flavor has become so ingrained in our Fall culture, and I look forward to the new products. This year, say hello to PSL deodorant!
Yeah, you read that one correct. Native, a natural deodorant company, has a limited-edition pumpkin spice latte scent for your armpits. Native deodorant products are aluminum and paraben-free, which means they will not hurt you like other chemically-made deodorants and antiperspirants.

All the ingredients in the Native products are natural and fight to eliminate odor so you can feel confident all day long. Odor-eliminating ingredients include baking soda, which neutralizing odor, arrowroot, which absorbs moisture, and acidophilus, which is a naturally occurring good bacteria that targets odor-causing fungi, yeast, and other bacteria.
While I’m still leery of having my body smell like pumpkin spice this Fall season, I am interested in the other deodorant products, such as Pear and Lavender and Almond and Vanilla, which are also seasonal scents. So, thank you Starbucks and thank you PSL for giving me the opportunity to try a new product. My other Native deodorant scents are in the mail.
